TF Finality
With the goal of creating “an ever closer union among the peoples of Europe” (Art. 1 p. 2 EU Treaty), the current primary law only very vaguely describes the finality of the EU. Only the direction of integration is given. However, does this goal provide sufficient orientation to tackle the next reform steps? Or do visions for the further development of European integration need a concrete goal in order not to lose course on the path of deepening? The Finality Task Force is discussing these questions intensively, including in a separate session during the Young European Federalists’ Europe Workshop 2017.
The Finality Task Force consists of Susanne Zels, Sebastian Zeitzmann, Julian Plottka and Frédéric Krumbein.
