PAIC-Conference “The EU and Ukraine: How to enhance the cooperation & maintain the reform process?”

The EU-Ukraine conference of our project “Platform for Analytics and Intercultural Cooperation” (PAIC) on the topic of “The European Union and Ukraine: How to enhance the cooperation and maintain the reform process?” took place on Friday, 8 June 2018, from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm on the premises of the Representation of the European Commission in Germany.
The conference focused on the reform process in Ukraine and the relations between Ukraine and the European Union. In three panels, Ukrainian, German, and European experts discussed the following questions: Is a political and societal change happening in the EU-Ukraine relationship? Has Ukrainian public opinion on the bilateral relations with the EU changed since the enforcement of the Association Agreement? What are the drivers towards sustainable and successful growth and which effects has the reform process on areas such as energy, economy and public administration?
The conference was conducted in close cooperation with the Representation of the European Commission in Germany, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Federal Republic of Germany and the International Renaissance Foundation, and was organised within the framework of our project “Platform for Analytics and Intercultural Communication” (PAIC), which is supported by the Federal Foreign Office. The project aims at promoting professional expertise among Ukrainian think tanks, creating synergies between German and Ukrainian think tanks and transferring knowledge about developments in Ukraine to Germany.
In addition to a photo gallery at the bottom of this page, you will find recordings of the three panels of the event below. A more detailed report will follow shortly.
