Expert conference “Europe and the US – strategic partners for the future?”
From 6 to 8 March 2013, the Institut für Europäische Politik in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the ASKO EUROPA-STIFTUNG carried out the conference “Europe and the US – strategic partners for the future” in Wildbad Kreuth.
Acclaimed and renowned researchers and stakeholders discussed the significance of the transatlantic community in controlling and managing global problems such as energy security and the uprisings in the Arab World. In particular, questions about the leadership role of Europe and the US as well as the recently initiated idea of a Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership featured prominently.
