The workshops are organised within the framework of the project \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/iep-berlin.de\/en\/research\/enlargement-neighbourhood-and-central-asia\/platform-for-analytics-and-intercultural-communication\">Platform for Analytics and Inter\u00adcul\u00adtural Commu\u00adni\u00adcation<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>During the workshop, the partic\u00adi\u00adpants will focus on devel\u00adoping their own research design and the role of quali\u00adtative methods in (policy) research. During the first part of the workshop, the partic\u00adi\u00adpants will learn how to sketch a well-designed research proposal and will address following questions among others: What is a research puzzle? How do I determine my research question? Which role does theory play? Which methods will allow me to properly answer my research question and how do I write an abstract?<\/p>\n<p>The second part of the workshop focuses on the opera\u00adtional\u00adi\u00adsation of the newly gained knowledge on own research intia\u00adtives. The following questions will be addressed: Which kind of data do I need to have in order to answer my research question? Which data collection methods are feasible? What is a case and how do I get from case to method? Moreover, the partic\u00adi\u00adpants will discuss about profes\u00adsional scien\u00adtific standards and will be intro\u00adduced to the specific data analysis methods and the of use digital tools within the analysis process.<\/p>\n<p>The working languages will be <strong>Ukrainian &amp; English<\/strong>. Please note that appli\u00adcants are required to indicate a brief research idea which will be elabo\u00adrated upon during the workshop. Inter\u00adested persons from the regions are highly encouraged to apply. The organ\u00adisers will compensate for travel and accom\u00admo\u00addation costs for the duration of the training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attention: The regis\u00adtration form is the same for both workshops. Please select the city in regis\u00adtration form.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/iep-berlin.de\/en\/research\/enlargement-neighbourhood-and-central-asia\/platform-for-analytics-and-intercultural-communication\/\">Platform for Analytics and Inter\u00adcul\u00adtural Commu\u00adni\u00adcation<\/a>\u201d (PAIC) aims at promoting profes\u00adsional expertise among Ukrainian think tanks, creating synergies between German and Ukrainian think tanks and trans\u00adferring knowledge about devel\u00adop\u00adments in Ukraine to Germany.
