Congratulations to IEP vice president Axel Schäfer, MP for his re-election to the executive board of the EBD
At the members convention of the European Movement Germany on 27 June 2016, IEP vice president Axel Schäfer, MdB was re-elected as a member of the executive board for another two years. The three members of IEP’s board of trustees Otto Schmuck, Manuel Sarrazin, MdB und Michael Stübgen, MdB are also members of the EBD board, making for a good representation by IEP. In addition, IEP’s deputy director, Dr. Katrin Böttger was re-elected to her post as a member of the EBD board. “Cooperation amongst European organisations is especially important in times of multiple crises and after the UK referendum on its EU membership. I look forward to cooperating with my colleagues in the EBD board. Now is the time to complete European integration” Böttger underlined.
Since 1962 the Institut für Europäische Politik has been a member of the German European Movement (EBD). As the EBD understands its function as a bridge builder in the coming year, set the work priorities 2016/17, which decided the General Assembly by a large majority.
