Training Series on EU Association in the Ukrainian Parliament completed
On 12–13 December, Constanze Aka successfully implemented the 9th and final training of IEP’s training series on EU association and coordination in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The workshop gave a comprehensive overview of the functions and procedures of Bilateral Bodies for the implementation of AA/DCFTA. Participants engaged in a lively simulation of an EU-Ukraine bilateral meeting on transport or sustainable development respectively.
In short presentations the participants recapitulated most topics covered in the training series: starting from methods and instruments of legal harmonisation till approximation to EU competition, consumer protection, intellectual property or energy legislation.
Last but not least, the workshop was finalized with a festive certificate ceremony. The success of the workshop series would not have been possible without the active engagement of participants and experts.
The training series is part of the larger IEP Capacity Building project “EU Association Trainings” in Ukraine and is kindly supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
